In a thrilling three-day showdown at the Karnataka State Women’s FIDE Rated Chess Championship—held from August 15 to 17—Arushi Severin Helen Dsilva, Dakshina Kannada player studying in Carmel School, Mangalore clinched the state crown. The tournamen was hosted in Bengaluru. For the very first time efforts were made to make this Womans tournament FIDE Rated to give the players the required platform they deserve. The tournament witnessed 178 talented women participants vying for the title under classical time control of 60 minutes plus 30-second increments per move, administered by a capable team of arbiters with Chief Arbiter as Sahana Subramanya
Final Standings (Top Performers)
Champion: Arushi Severin Helen Dsilva (Dakshina Kannada) from Carmel School, Mangalore — secured the top spot with a commanding performance. She remained undefeatable throughout the tournament.

Silver Medalist: Siddhi Rao, Bangalore Urban player studying in Silicon City Academy of Secondary Education stood second, adding over 58 FIDE rating points to her record. Siddhi a young budding talent had a fantastic run in the tournament with only one loss which was with Akshaya Sathi.
Bronze Medalist: Aadya Gowda Bengaluru Urban player studying in The Cambridge international School (TCIS) varthur branch—rounded out the podium with an impressive showing, reportedly finishing third with 7/9 points. Aadya played superbly in all rounds and her only loss was with Siddhi Rao.
Akshaya Sathi from Utara Karnataka studying in Atomic Energy Central School, Kaiga finished in the 4th place. This is Akshayas 3rd State tournament triumph.
Krupha S Ukkali Bangalore Urban player studying in NPS Rajajinagar secured the 5th place. Krupha had a wonderful tournament and her only loss was with Siddhi Rao.
Sinthia Sarkar Bangalore Urban player finished 6th place. Had a very good run at the tournament & her only loss was with Aadya Gowda.
