The Karnataka State Chess Association (KSCA) congratulates Nakshatra Gumudavelly on her commendable performance at the FIDE World Cadets Cup 2026 (Girls Under-10), held in Batumi, Georgia.
Competing against the best young players from 70 federations, Nakshatra scored an impressive 8 points from 11 rounds to secure 5th place, while also gaining 20 FIDE Elo rating points. She narrowly missed the podium by just half a point, showcasing exceptional fighting spirit and consistency throughout the tournament.
