Pratitee Wins Two Silver Medals in Western Asian Chess Championship 2025

Pratitee Bordoloi, a student of Shishya BEML Public School Bengaluru, made the nation proud by winning two Silver medals at the recently concluded Western Asian Youth Chess Championship 2025 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in the U12 Girls Category. She secured her first medal in the Rapid format, scoring 6.5/7 points. Despite scoring the same points as the winner from Russia and having equal points across all tie-breaks, she had to settle for silver as her opponent was higher seeded. In the Classical format, she scored 7.5/9 to claim her second silver medal for the country. The tournament saw participation from nine countries, including Russia and Uzbekistan.
