Pratitee Bordoloi wins National Schools U-11 Girls Chess Championship

Pratitee Bordoloi, a student of Shishya BEML Public School, Bengaluru did it again by winning her 3rd National Chess title when she clinched the top spot at the recently concluded 12th National Schools U-11 Girls Chess Championship, at Patna Bihar from 6-10 Feb. She remained unbeaten across the 9 rounds, scoring 8.5 points thus emerging as leaderboard topper. During the process, she earned 69 ELO points which helped her cross 1500 FIDE rating for the first time (1504). It is worth mentioning that her performance rating during the tournament was 1676 as she defeated 8 of her opponents and held the highest rated player of the tournament to a draw. With the win, Pratitee will officially represent India during the Asian School Chess Championship that will be held at Bangkok, Thailand in Dec 2024. After her national win, she is travelling to Melaka (Malaysia) next on 19th February to officially represent India in the Commonwealth Chess Championship, 2023-24.

Pratitee in the past has won U9 National Girls 2022-23 (Indore, MP) and U11 National Girls 2023 (Visakhapatnam, AP).
