Karnataka’s International Chess Star Shines at Samarkand
The Karnataka State Chess Association (KSCA) proudly congratulates Kishan Gangolli on being directly awarded the prestigious FIDE Candidate Master (CM) title following his outstanding performance at the 3rd FIDE Chess Olympiad for Persons with Disabilities 2026, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Kishan delivered an impressive performance, scoring 5.5 points out of 7 games with a 2200 rating performance, earning the title in recognition of his achievement.
His remarkable Olympiad journey includes:
🥈 2023 – Serbia: Silver medal at the inaugural Olympiad.
🥇 2025 – Kazakhstan: Gold medal at the 2nd Olympiad, playing on Board 3.
🏆 2026 – Samarkand: FIDE Candidate Master title following an outstanding performance.
