Master Manvith P. S. Gowda, Master Daivik M.V. and Master Samarth S. Pujar represent the growing strength and enthusiasm of Karnataka’s youngest chess generation.
🥇 MASTER MANVITH P. S. GOWDA
Karnataka’s Youngest FIDE-Rated Rapid Player
Master Manvith P. S. Gowda, son of Mr. Puneet K. S. and Mrs. Poornima R. N., earned his FIDE Rapid Rating of 1413 at the age of 4 years and 8 months, with his Date of Birth being 24 December 2021, appearing in the August 2026 FIDE Rating List.
Based on the FIDE records currently available and the information examined so far, Manvith P. S. Gowda is understood to be the youngest player from Karnataka to receive a FIDE Rapid Rating.
At just over four years of age, Manvith has already entered the FIDE-rated chess arena, marking an impressive achievement for the young player and another encouraging milestone for Karnataka chess.
🥈 MASTER DAIVIK M.V.
Karnataka’s Youngest Classical FIDE-Rated Player of 2026
Master Daivik M.V., son of Mr. Vinay Kumar M. N. and Mrs. Ashwini R., earned his Classical FIDE Rating of 1425 at the age of 5 years, 10 months and 6 days, with his Date of Birth being 5 May 2020, appearing in the March 2026 FIDE Rating List.
A UKG student of National Public School, Mysuru, Daivik has made a remarkable entry into the FIDE-rated chess arena at a very young age.

The youngest player overall remains Master Nimalan Dharanipathy, born on 25 March 2019, who obtained his FIDE Classical Rating in the December 2024 FIDE Rating List at the age of 5 years, 8 months and 7 days.
🥉 MASTER SAMARTH S. PUJAR
A Young Classical FIDE-Rated Chess Achiever from Shivamogga
Samarth began learning chess at the age of 3 years and 6 months, under the guidance of his father and grandfather. Through dedication and consistent performance, he has represented Shivamogga at District, State, National and International-level chess tournaments.
⭐ CLASSICAL FIDE RATING ACHIEVEMENT
Master Samarth S. Pujar, son of Mr. Sachin P. S. and Mrs. Supritha H. S., earned his Classical FIDE Rating of 1407 at the age of 6 years and 5 months, with his Date of Birth being 25 February 2020, appearing in the August 2026 FIDE Rating List.
