The 9th Karnataka State Schools Chess Championship 2026 concluded successfully at Sri Hale Mariamma Sabha Bhavana, Kapu, organized by Sri Narayana Guru School of Chess, Kapu, under the sponsorship of Affiliens Technology, Mangaluru, with the support of Sri Hale Mariamma Temple, Kapu.

A remarkable 390 young chess players from across Karnataka participated in the championship, competing in 12 age categories. Following intense competition, 24 players (two from each category) earned the honour of representing Karnataka at the National Schools Chess Championship.

The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sitarama Bhat, President of Dandatirtha Pratishthana, Kapu. Prizes were presented by Mr. Avinash Shetty, Founder of Affiliens Technology, in the presence of distinguished guests including Mr. Ram Nayak, Mr. Ramesh Kote (Vice President, KSCA), Mr. Siddakrishna (Secretary, Udupi District Chess Association), and other dignitaries.
