CV Raman Monthly Chess Tournament |
Was conducted successfully with more than 100 participants. 7 rounds tournament was won by Raghavendra with clean 7 out of 7 and the second place was taken by R.Nagesh with 6.5 Points. Open catagory was awarded with cash prizes and the all children catagory including Under 6 for the first time got very nice trophies.
Await for the results and Photographs soon. Also there was an announcement about the Rajanna Memorial Classical Chess Tournament to be conducted on the second Saturday and Sunday of February 2008. Await for the details and venue soon. |

The United Karnataka Chess Association was formed in February 2006 with the aim of developing chess talent in Karnataka and giving the top talent in the state a chance to improve and compete at a national and international level. The UKCA has been granted affiliation to the AICF (All India Chess Federation) and is the authorized body in the state of Karnataka to conduct state level selections and championships.
Our mission is to bring the districts in Karnataka together and we have already achieved significant progress towards this goal. |
