Mr. B.V. Achuthananda Reddy
Mr. Reddy is the secretary of Malleswaram Association and the Vice President of Karnataka Hockey association. He has a long history with sports in Karnataka and has encouraged various sports including chess, table tennis and hockey.

VICE PRESIDENT
Vinay Kurtkoti
Mr. Kurtkoti is the secretary of the Dharward District Chess Association. He has been conducting local and state tournaments for over 5 years and is a FIDE rated player.
Krishna Udupa
Mr. Udupa is a successful coach and is the administrator of the Nalanda Chess Academy. He is also a FIDE rated player and one of the most talented visually impaired chess players in India. His students have been very successful in state and national events. He is also the organizer of Shimoga district chess events for over 5 years.

Mr.M.S.Gururaj is president of south canara district association.

GENERAL SECRETARY
R. Hanumantha
Mr. Hanumantha is a FIDE rated player and a coach for more than 10 years. He has also been committed to chess in Karnataka and has organized events at the local, state and national levels for over 10 years. He holds an annual Rajanna memorial state open which is a well attended event for the last 10 years. He also works at LIC and represents LIC for South Central Zone in Chess for the last 10 years. He has been a mentor and guide to numerous chess players, organizations and professionals. He is the administrator of the CV Raman Chess club which holds monthly tournaments in Bangalore. He is also the secretary of the Bangalore district chess association.

JOINT SECRETARIES
Arvind Shastry
Shastry is another Karnataka's top players, known for his attacking style of chess. He has won Karnataka's state championship 3 times and was the only Karnataka player to qualify for National A after a gap of 14 years. He is a successful coach and his pupil M. Satvik recently won the bronze medal representing India at the Teheran Asian in 2006.
L. Sheshadri
He is the secretary of Mysore district and is also a chess player and coach. He has been organizing chess events and tournaments for the last 5 years.
Mrs. Meena Sudhindra
P.V. Srinivas
He is the secretary of Hassan district and has organized tournaments and events in Hassan and surrounding areas. He is a very good player and a good coach. He is the administrator of the Hoysala chess academy in Hassan.
Chandrashekar D. Navalgund
He is an active member of the Belgaum district chess association from 2004. He is a member of the local Kannada culture association and is also a Kannada poet.
Mrs.Vasanthalakshmi and
Mrs.Lydia D'Cunha
These two ladies are the most active members of SKDCA and few of the reasons why SKDCA is so much successful in improving chess activity in Mangalore.

TREASURER
N. Sanjay
N. Sanjay has been one of Karnataka's most dynamic chess players. He has been state champion 6 times and has been a performer at the National level as well, winning FIDE rated tournaments and being in India's top 100 chess players. He is a reputed coach and will coach the Indian National team going to Georgia for the youth championship in 2006. He has also been involved with organizing events in the state for many years. |
