The United Karnataka Chess Association was formed in February 2006 with the aim of developing chess talent in Karnataka and giving the top talent in the state a chance to improve and compete at a national and international level. The UKCA has been granted affiliation to the AICF (All India Chess Federation) and is the authorized body in the state of Karnataka to conduct state level selections and championships.

Our mission is to bring the districts in Karnataka together and we have already achieved significant progress towards this goal. We hope to complete this by the end of 2006.
