Under 7 State Championship

BANGALORE DISTRICT CHESS ASSOCIATION

Under-7 State Chess Championship Organized by BANGALORE DISTRICT CHESS ASSOCIATION Under the banner of UKCA from 20th June to 22nd June 2008 at State Youth Center, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore.

For all Outstation players entries must come through District Association. "DIRECT ENTRIES ARE NOT ENTERTAINED". Entry fee is Rs 150/-. Eligibility is for all Boys and Girls born on or after 1st January 2001.

The first two players from this Championship will represent Karnataka in the upcoming Nationals U-7 Boys and Girls at Mumbai. Entry fee will be paid only for the first two selected players for both the category.

The United Karnataka Chess Association was formed in February 2006 with the aim of developing chess talent in Karnataka and giving the top talent in the state a chance to improve and compete at a national and international level. The UKCA has been granted affiliation to the AICF (All India Chess Federation) and is the authorized body in the state of Karnataka to conduct state level selections and championships.

Our mission is to bring the districts in Karnataka together and we have already achieved significant progress towards this goal.
