nder-19 State Chess Championship for Boys and Girls was Organized by UDUPI DISTRICT CHESS ASSOCIATION Under the banner of UKCA from 27th June to 29th June 2008 at S.M.S P.U College, Brahmavar, Udupi District - 576213.
Suraj M of Bangalore and Shristi J Shetty of Shimoga won the Boys and Girls Championship respectively. |

The United Karnataka Chess Association was formed in February 2006 with the aim of developing chess talent in Karnataka and giving the top talent in the state a chance to improve and compete at a national and international level. The UKCA has been granted affiliation to the AICF (All India Chess Federation) and is the authorized body in the state of Karnataka to conduct state level selections and championships.
Our mission is to bring the districts in Karnataka together and we have already achieved significant progress towards this goal. |
